SPYROS TSANTINIS - LECTURER

Born in Athens in 1966. He is a Supreme Court attorney. He graduated from the National Athens University Law School in 1989. He completed his postgraduate studies in the University of Hanover (he was awarded scholarship from the European Community Committee), where he obtained the title Magister Legum Europae, with specialty in European Law of Competition (1990), and in the Johann Wolfgang Goethe University of Frankfurt, where he was awarded the title Doctor of Law (1994).

His dissertation refers to procedure matters of unfair competition litigation disputes. He was assistant professor for the Private, International and Comparative Law of the Johann Wolfgang Goethe University of Frankfurt in the Direktmarketing research project (1989 – 1992).

From 1992 until 1994 he was Special Postgraduate Bursar of the General Law Sector of the Pantios University. He has been teaching new and trainee lawyers in the Athens Bar Association Study. He regularly works with the “Private Law Chronicles” scientific journal and has produced many German and Greek publications in fair competition, copyright, civil law, law of bankruptcy, civil procedure, and negotiable instruments law.

Since 1991, Spyros Tsantinis has been practicing law in Athens, specializing in civil and commercial law matters. Particularly, bank law, firm law, fair competition and copyright law.

Since 1996, he has been an attorney of the Greek National Bank Judiciary, while since 2002 he is lecturer of Civil Procedure for the Thrace Themokritio University.
